 Audrey J. Jaeger, Ph.D. Co-Executive Director |
Audrey J. Jaeger is an Associate Professor and Co-Executive Director of the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness. Dr. Jaeger's research examines the roles of current and future faculty with emphasis on part-time faculty. Recent research regarding part-time faculty at community colleges by Dr. Jaeger and Dr. Umbach has gained significant national attention. Her scholarship on faculty has also examined institutional variables that support and inhibit faculty involvement in community engaged teaching and research. She received her Ph.D. from New York University. Prior to NC State, Dr. Jaeger worked in higher education administration at New York University's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service and Bucknell University (PA). She as also an adjunct professor at Baruch College (CUNY). Her professional experience includes both academic and student affairs positions. |
 Paul D. Umbach, Ph.D. Co-Executive Director |
Paul D. Umbach is an Associate Professor and Co-Executive Director of the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness. Dr. Umbach's research focuses on social and organizational structures that affect college students and the careers of college faculty, in particular community college part-time faculty. He also studies survey research methods, particularly as they apply in college settings. Prior to NC State, Paul was an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa. He was also a research associate with the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Research. At the Center he worked with the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE). His professional background includes several years working in institutional research at Tidewater Community College, Old Dominion University, and the University of Maryland. He earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. |

Dawn Crotty is the executive assistant for the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness (NILIE) in the Department of Leadership, Policy, Adult and Higher Education. Ms. Crotty holds a BA in math from Boston College and a MS in Operations Research and Statistics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Dion Terry is a doctoral student in Higher Education Administration at NC State University. Dion received her B.A. in Political Science from UNC and her MPA from NCCU. In addition to her work with NILIE, Dion teaches an undergraduate course in public sector human resources at NCCU. |

Toni Cerbo is a doctoral candidate in Higher Education Administration at North Carolina State University. She received a Bachelor of Art degree from Stockton State College and Kansas State University awarded her a Master of Science in Youth Development. Prior to working in Student Affairs Toni worked in marketing and communications. |
