North Carolina State University's distance learning is ranked among GetEducated.com's Best Buys for Online Masters in Education. The online education technology program ranked 6th; education curriculum 7th; instructional technology 13th; and curriculum 32nd. The Get Educated Best Buy rankings are based on a comprehensive review of 367 online education masters offered by 129 regionally accredited universities.
“The College of Education is pleased to serve the diverse student population that we have,” said Dr. Jayne Fleener, Dean of the College of Education. “We are proud to offer high quality, affordable degrees to those whose commitments and distance don’t allow them the opportunity for face-to-face instruction, to be recognized for it is an honor.”
To appear on the Best Buy ranking list, the online degree profiled must cost less than the average cost for an online degree from the data set. The costs shown are valid for Fall 2011 when the survey was conducted. Being ranked as a Best Buy indicates that the degree program has been independently reviewed and found to offer a high quality online degree at a cost well below the national average.
